Records Retention Requirements/Functionalities for On-Demand (SaaS) solution

I had read a couple of posts from 2011 and 2012 with respect to functionalities for records retention requirements for the r (behind the firewall) version of the Contract Management solution. I would like to understand the following:

1. Are there plans to incorporate functionalities for records retention requirements for the s (on-demand) version?
2. If so, what is the timeframe?
