Thanks Everybody. i have access to the admin, config documents, data dictionary, csv files, enablement workbooks and there are plenty of them which i am reading and trying to understand. Right now my objective is to sit down with client and prepare the core model and then deploy the core model accross the 15 odd countries and then address local nuances as appropriate. When i say core model i mean the core functional design for the client which will be collection of several sub functional design componets (for e.g listed below) and to arrive at this i need to share what is in the standard, what are the best practicess and then recommend to client which will then feed into the core functional configuration document which will then drive data requirements (master, config, transactional) etc. So right now i dont know how to approach this core design activity, where to start what should be the key activities in the workshop toics to cover in workshop, any templates, ppts, documents to drive discussion in workshop. e.g for the approval process design what are the key things we need to discuss in the workshop, what are the decision points, what data we will need, template in which data will be provided e.g approval limits, category based approval, what is standard in Ariba etc. Right now i am not prepared to lead the approval workshop as an e.g so people who have done implementation (P2P - SAP) scenario can help me here. i need learnings from folks who have the scars:)
- global approval structure
- user restrictions
- global invoice exception types
- decide PU/FPC structure
