Hello Kshitij,
Thanks a lot for your kind words. Coming to your question regarding the information for Ariba Buyer , Ariba Discovery and Ariba Network i see that Nadeem has put in description about each of them. To add a little bit further from my side it would be as follows
Ariba Discovery: As Nadeem mentioned it is one of the service provided by Ariba to match buyers and sellers over one of the largest business network. It can be integrated with the Ariba Sourcing solution, Ariba Procurement solutions so that the buyers and sellers can collaborate. So for e.g., you would be wanting to float a RFP through Ariba Sourcing solution, you can actually create a RFP in Ariba Sourcing and then post it to discover the sellers via Ariba Discovery. So it actually helps in identifying the new sellers and also helps in reducing the costs by working with different set of sellers.
Ariba Network: Ariba Network is one of the largest business commerce marketplace and it would allow for the collaboration between buyer and sellers. This Network helps to maintain transparency in the business transactions which are taking place and it can work with either the Ariba cloud solution or with the backend SAP ECC system as well. You can consider this to be a collection of sellers / buyers to fulfill the transactions in a most transparent manner. This is actually one of the key hot selling idea of Ariba suite.
Ariba Buyer: Ariba Buyer is a part of the Ariba's Spend Management solution and it enables the users to automate, expedite the purchase of goods / services in a most transparent manner and also interact with the sellers via the Ariba Network.
Yes each of them are different modules but yes the way they work is intertwined so that they work in tandem with each other at different points of time for different scenario / situation.
The above is just a brief description of each of the modules and there is a lot to be known / learnt in each of them.
Regards
Pramod
