First of all, thank you so much for those great answers! This will help me a lot to understand the procurement process via Ariba.
I have some more questions, maybe you can help me out again:
You talked about the Ariba Buyer. What is the Ariba Buyer? Is it just the solution for buyers on the Ariba Network? I mean, You have the Ariba Network, with on the one hand suppliers who login on the Ariba Supplier website and on the other hand you have the buyers who login on the Ariba Buyer website. So is it just a part of the Ariba Network or is it a totally seperated Ariba solution?

I have still questions about the payment part in Ariba. Which ways of payment do I have when I pay via Ariba? I think it won't be easy to pay big orders because a bank will be probably involved in case of big amounts of money. I can't imagine that I can pay easily via bank wire, credit card or for example services like PayPal when I talk about big orders 500.000 $?
Of course, I have to point out the pros and cons integrating Ariba into my ERP system and involving into my procurement process. I read a lot about the pros like faster procurement process, saving cost, broadening my supplier base. But there must be some cons, too. Maybe you can help me find pros and I know, probably you work for Ariba in any way but maybe you can tell me some of the risks or problems concerning integration of Ariba. Would be huge help for me!
