Hi Sangram,

I think that I can help you with your doubts about how to on board suppliers in Ariba (client site). First of all I will list different options to create a supplier in Ariba (client-site):

1. Direct full registration, which consists in providing to the supplier an URL in order to register in Ariba Commerce Cloud and request for being supplier of your client. This URL is like

http://yoursitename.supplier.ariba.com/ad/register/SSOActions?type=full

Replace yoursitename with the portion of your site’s Ariba domain name that comes before ariba.com.

IN THIS OPTION, A RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CLIENT-SUPPLIER IS ESTABLISHED

2. Create the new supplier through UI. Within client site, Create > Supplier

INTHIS OPTION A RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CLIENT-SUPPLIER IS NOT ESTABLISHED

3. Create the new supplier through Administration loading specific Excel files.

INTHIS OPTION A RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CLIENT-SUPPLIER IS NOT ESTABLISHED

There are more options but form my point of view less useful and interesting.

In case 2 and 3 you need an extra step to establish a relationship client-supplier which can be:

- Inviting supplier to an event (It will be required to register in Ariba Commerce Cloud).

- If the supplier exists in Ariba Commerce Cloud, inviting supplier through Ariba Discovery.

Taking this into our mind I will give you my opinion about which process I would use in each case.

A- I would use option 1.

B- If the business with the client is not using Ariba, I will use Ariba Discovery sending a post in order to establish the mandatory relationship.

C- If the business is not inminent I will use option 2 or 3, but if you want to create a sourcing soon, option 1 is the best.

D- Similar as B

Note: this answer is made from the Sourcing point of view, if you only want to send and recieve orders and invoices (Ariba Network) you don't need to establish this relationship, you only need the supplier's ANID (Areiba Network Id) to route them.

Integration among Ariba and SAP will be automatic with the new release Sourcing 15s, but I can not assure you.

Hoping this help you, feel free if you need some clarification.
